Wing Commander Inayat Ali Shah (Retd) is an avionics graduate of the Pakistan Air Force College of Aeronautical Engineering.  He holds an extensive experience in the field of R&D.  His specialized skills and expertise include Electronic Warfare, Avionics Integration, Lasers & Optics, Tracking and Guidance Systems, Software Engineering, Geographical Information Systems, Satellite Navigation Systems and C4I systems guarda ora. He is currently Director of Projects in Trojans and has been Lead designer of many R&D projects, including the modernization of Long Range Radars, a Tactical Mission Management C4I system for armoured formations, explosive reactive armour for tanks, a static popup target training system for small arms, a main battle tanks fire control system as well as a host of specialized Mil-Spec computational systems and consoles.

Dr Naveed Iftikhar has been working with the public sector, academia, research centers, and international development organizations for almost two decades.  His current research and policy work focuses on entrepreneurship, public sector governance, public-private partnerships, and cities.

He advises several public-sector organizations in Pakistan for formulating and evaluating strategies and economic policies. He has taught economics, management, public policy, and urban economics courses in various universities and civil service training institutions. He contributes regularly to journals, conferences and newspapers. He holds an M.Phil. in Economics and a PhD in Urban Affairs and Public Policy from the University of Delaware’s Biden School of Public Policy and Administration.

Masood Qureshi

Short Profile of Mr. Masood Latif Qureshi; Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Aero Engine Craft (Pvt) Ltd

Mr. Masood Latif Qureshi, Chief Technology Officer and Founder of Aero Engine Craft (Pvt) Ltd is the inventor of the contrail-free aero-engine.  He has a Master’s degree in Physics and Electronics Engineering.  He has over 45 years of scientific research experience in UK and Pakistan.  He has a multidisciplinary expertise in a number of engineering fields primarily electronic control systems, instrumentation, communications, automotive, aerospace, mechanical and manufacturing engineering. Successful products developed by him over the years include electron beam particle accelerator, C-Band antennae, intruder detection security system, plastic injection processing, machine tool design, paper width detector for paper mills, ionization probe for IC engines, camera jig, injection moulding controller, beam change controller and CNC machines controller.

His present work is focused on the development and prototyping of an indigenous jet engine, a 600 cc two cylinder piston engine, a drone engine, an environment friendly contrail-free aero engine, and a 1000 cc elliptic rotary vane engine.  Mr. Masood co-authored a postgraduate textbook on Chemistry Electro-cyclic Reactions published by Wiley VCH and has been coding software. He works with a unique combination of art, design and engineering and has over 10 inventions in the aerospace, automotive and electronics domain.  He is an accomplished artist and avidly paints landscapes in watercolor.  He has always been a keen explorer and has traveled to 54 countries in the world.

Dr Sarah Qureshi

Short Profile of Dr. Sarah Qureshi; Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Aero Engine Craft (Pvt) Ltd

Dr. Sarah Qureshi is working on contrail-free aero engines as the CEO and founding director of Aero Engine Craft (Pvt) Ltd. She is also a visiting Academic at the School of Aerospace at Cranfield University where she provides technical feedback on research on environmentally safe aircraft engines. Sarah has a PhD degree in Aerospace Engineering from Cranfield University, UK. Her area of specialization is Aerospace Propulsion whereby she researched on the design of a contrail-free aero-engine . During her initial PhD research, Sarah assisted the inventor with patenting the contrail-free aero-engine. The invention has been granted two international patents and has a tremendous potential in bringing about an environmental revolution in the context of aviation. Dr. Sarah Qureshi , along with the inventor of technology Mr. Masood Latif Qureshi has now set up Aero Engine Craft (Private) Limited, to convert this technology into a full scale commercial  application ready to be used by modern civil transport aircraft.  During her PhD, Sarah supervised  MSc. students for their research projects on Jet Engine Technology. Prior to this, Sarah completed her master’s degree in the field of Aerospace Dynamics from Cranfield University, UK. Her research involved the design of a trajectory following autopilot for unmanned aircraft (UAVs) flying in close formation for the purpose of air to air refuelling.  Prior to post-graduate studies, Sarah graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from College of Electrical & Mechanical Engineering, NUST Pakistan, and gained extensive experience of working in the local automotive and engineering industry. Sarah holds a Private Pilot License (PPL) with 70 hours of Flying Experience. She has also learned acrobatic flying and several flight manoeuvres while at Cranfield.

He is CEO and owner of East West Infiniti (Pvt) Ltd; locally designing, engineering, and producing electronic technologies for the professional, military, and industrial markets in Pakistan and the International marketplace, having customers, besides Pakistan, in Saudi Arabia, USA, Columbia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Oman, Kenya, Libya, Egypt, Myanmar and counting.

He is skilled and experienced to integrate avionics equipment in Military and General Aviation aircraft. Designing and integrating Glass Cockpits in Super Mushak Aircraft manufactured by Pakistan Aeronautical Complex.

Dr. Arshad Ali

Dr. Arshad completed PhD studies in Electrical Engineering from University of Pittsburgh, USA in 1992. His academic association spreads over 35 years of teaching/research at institutions of national repute. He served as Executive Director HEC, Rector National Textile University Faisalabad and also established Systems Research Institute at Rawalpindi, Hamdard University Faisalabad Campus, and NUST Institute of IT Rawalpindi/Islamabad reseña. He spear headed the research team for developing distributed computing applications in collaboration with, Stanford USA, Caltech USA and Center for European Nuclear Research (CERN) Geneva, Switzerland. This research effort helped NUST in attaining “CMS-CERN Associate Institute” status, a unique distinction for a Pakistani university. His active partnership helped in attracting USD 2.75 Mil NSF Grant through Stanford University USA, Caltech USA, CERN Geneva, Keyung Hee University Seoul Korea and over 12.0 Mil Euro joint research funding with EU Universities from European Union.

In recognition of his services, Govt of Pakistan conferred him with the awards of Pride of Performance and Sitara-e-Imtiaz. He also received Distinguished scientists of the year award from Pakistan Academy of Sciences (PAS), Gold Medal for IT research from PAS/COMSTECH and President’s gold medal for NUST best researcher of the year.

He is Co-convener Pakistan Aerospace Council (PAeC) and CEO Asian Institute of Industrial Air (AIIA); the only institute in Pakistan offering an advanced level of certified training courses on Industrial Air Engineering, Automation and Production Engineering.
