Farnborough Airshow 2024: A Record-Breaking Triumph!
The Farnborough International Airshow 2024 has set new benchmarks in the aerospace industry, achieving remarkable growth and international acclaim. From record-breaking attendance to groundbreaking announcements, this year’s event demonstrated the dynamic future of aviation with remarkable statistics:
- 33% increase in visitors
- 57% increase in delegation attendance
- Over $105 billion in commercial deals announced
The event, held from 22-26 July, welcomed over 100,000 Visitors, 1,500 Exhibitors from over 60 Countries, and featured 90 Civil and Military Aircraft. It also hosted more than 390 Civil, Military, and Space delegations.
The airshow was inaugurated by the UK’s Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, and attracted global attention as it brought together international industry leaders, start-ups, and pioneers from Aerospace, Defence, and Space for five days in Hampshire, United Kingdom.
Significant achievements included:
- $105.8 billion in commercial aircraft and engine ordersfrom major companies like Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer.
- The announcement of Skills Englandby the UK Government, aiming to provide opportunities for young individuals interested in apprenticeships.
- The introduction of the UK Government Hub, a platform for political, industry, and international stakeholders to support UK aerospace, defence, and space sectors.
- The first-ever dedicated air display live stream, attracting over 178,000 views.
The airshow highlighted the future of the industry with the Pioneers of Tomorrow day, inspiring the next generation of aerospace professionals with an extended flying display and a Careers Hub, attracting over 20,000 public visitors.
