Islamabad: August 17, 2019. Pakistan Aerospace Council (PAeC) and Pakistan American Business Association (PABA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen relation between PAeC members and PABA members on August 6, 2019 at Islamabad Club.
Pakistan Aerospace Council (PAeC) is a trade body for the high-tech industry manufacturers of Pakistan. PAeC was established in 2016 with aim to highlight the products and services of Pakistan high-tech manufacturer industry to the world. PAeC has been working actively by promoting Pakistan high-tech industry to the world. PAeC has participated in AirTec 2017, AirTec 2018 and recently PAeC hosted a four member team of European Organization of Nuclear Research (CERN) and arranged a interactive session with Pakistan industry representatives.
The Pakistan American Business Association (PABA) is a global member-based, not-for-profit business organization serving as an economic bridge between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Founded in 1986, by Mr. M. Siddique Sheikh in Washington, D.C., PABA has provided leadership training, community service, business networking, and hosted highly successful business conventions and trade shows. PABA’s mission is to create economic prosperity for both the United States and Pakistan through collaboration and partnership. PABA functions as not-for-profit and is registered as a 501(c)(6) organization with the U.S. IRS. An eleven member-based board of directors, elected by the PABA membership, serves for two years. Since 1986, PABA has become a premier business networking and advocacy organization embracing both cultural and business objectives of Pakistanis and Americans throughout the world.
PAeC and PABA have a shared objective to serve their members with best possible opportunities for trade and exports. This MOU provides for continued strengthening of future cooperation between the PAeC and the PABA in achieving common goals. This MOU will help both organizations for greater investments by members and member companies of either organization in territory of other state. Both organizations pledged for continuous support to each other through exchange of information on economic status, investment opportunities, trade policies and legislative changes of their respective countries in order to strengthen trade, technological and industrial cooperation between Pakistan and USA.
PAeC and PABA have agreed to facilitate the members of either organization in best possible way. Each organization will help in issuing the letter of invitation and will facilitate in visa process and for trade purpose each organization will share necessary information regarding customs rules and regulations. MOU is primarily focused on increasing the high-tech manufacturing export between Pakistan and America.
President of PAeC, Dr. Haroon Javed Qureshi hoped that this MOU will open new opportunities for PAeC members and will highlight the Pakistan high-tech manufacturing industry in USA market. He also highlighted how our members have been participating in international events and trade shows. He also discussed the events of PAeC where four member team of high officials from European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) was hosted and how PAeC members have started working with CERN in their ongoing projects.
Dr. Haroon Javed Qureshi presented shield & decorated the lapel with a Pakistani Flag, to Dr. James Witte (PABA Board Member) and Mr. Imtiaz Ali Rastgar (Convener PAeC) presented shield & decorated the lapel with a Pakistani Flag to Mr. Siddique Shiekh (PABA Chairman).
