Mr Shoaib Farooqui is an executive, trainer and entrepreneur with over 20 years of diversified experience in energy sector. The said experience is with 2 leading multinationals upstream services companies out of 4 leading around the world. Currently serving few enterprises working in energy and defense sectors.
He is a Mechanical Engineer from NED University of Engineering & Technology Karachi, MBA from SZABIST Karachi and M.Phil. In Management Sciences from SZABIST Islamabad (core research in management/leadership).
Shoaib is a lifetime member of Pakistan Engineering Council and member of Society of Petroleum Engineers. He served 2 years as Technical Chair for SPE Chapter Eqypt and also the Training / Course coordinator for SPE Pakistan Chapter from 2012 – 2017. He was the Chairman of Energy Committee of Islamabad Chamber of Trade and Commerce in 2011, 2015, 2018 and a moderator from the industry on policy matters with Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources Pakistan (2014 – 2016).
Shoaib is active speaker and mentor for SPE Students Chapters in NED University, Mehran University. He is also active speaker and mentor for Geoscience student chapters in Peshawar University (Center of Excellence for Earth Sciences), Bharia University Islamabad. He is visiting faculty for Management Science Department in SZABIST Islamabad and currently teaching Executive MBA program. Currently supervising one project with NED University Petroleum Engineering Students on the production of Bio Gas from the waste generation in Karachi, the pilot test of the same will be done in October, 2021.
